What is MyClyns?

The only first response protection you can spray directly on your face and into your eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and open wounds. MyClyns provides personal protection in the event of potential pathogenic exposure.

How is MyClyns different from other post-exposure products?

MyClyns represents a new category of product that is to be used in the field when complete post-exposure protocols cannot be immediately followed. It is the only non-alcohol, non-aerosol, non-irritating, non-flammable, readily accessible, first response spray that you can conveniently keep in your pocket and apply directly to the affected area, including the face, eyes, mouth, nose and ears.

Who should use MyClyns?

Anyone who feels they have come into contact with a potentially harmful pathogen and who wants an immediate protection spray.

Why should I use MyClyns?

When a potential exposure has occurred, response time is critical to lower the chances of becoming infected. In cases of exposure, you need a product that works effectively and is safe to use anywhere. MyClyns is the only non-alcohol, first response protection that is readily accessible, is pH neutral, and is safe for application to mucous and non-mucous membranes.

Where can I use MyClyns?

MyClyns can be used anywhere on the skin and can be used on the face, eyes, mouth, nose, ears and in open wounds. MyClyns contains Microcyn® which has been proven to be non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing on mucous and non-mucous membranes.

When should I use MyClyns?

MyClyns should be used in the event a suspected pathogenic exposure has occurred. According to the CDC, healthcare personnel should assume that the blood and other body fluids from all patients are potentially infectious.

How should I use MyClyns?

Once a suspected exposure has occurred, simply lift the MyClyns from your personal storage area (pocket, belt, purse, bag, etc.) and remove the cap by applying horizontal pressure to the top of the cap from the rear. Pump the spray nozzle 2-6 times until spraying unit is primed. Once primed, spray the entire quantity of liquid (approximately 50 - 60 sprays) to the affected area. Once the affected area has been fully saturated with MyClyns, dispose of the device. If the device has been contaminated from contact with hazardous materials, dispose of the device by following proper biohazard disposal protocols. Download the MyClyns Directions for Use.

If I use MyClyns, do I still need to follow Post Exposure Protocols (PEP)?

Yes. MyClyns is not meant to replace any existing protocols or normal clean-up procedures. You should use normal procedures for clean-up or utilize post-exposure protocols once they become available to you.

Can I use MyClyns more than once?

MyClyns is a one-time use, disposable product. Since the product is being used in a pathogenic exposure situation, it should be disposed of after use to avoid any cross contamination.

How does MyClyns work?

The compounds in the MyClyns solution is is similar to the chemicals produced by the human body (neutrophils). The compounds move through pathogens' cells and deactivate essential enzymes and structures, rendering them non-viable.

Are there any side effects or known sensitivity to MyClyns?

Studies indicate that MyClyns is non-irritating and non-sensitizing. In rare cases, the user may experience transitory mild burning upon application of MyClyns.

Is MyClyns FDA Approved?
MyClyns contains a 510(k) medical device solution cleared by the FDA as a wound cleanser under 21 CFR §880.5090.

How should I store MyClyns?

MyClyns should be stored at room temperature. Extreme temperatures, especially freezing, can affect the properties of the product.

Is MyClyns flammable?

No.

What is the shelf life of MyClyns?
MyClyns has a shelf life of two years under normal storage conditions.

Should I use MyClyns instead of my regular hand sanitizer?

MyClyns is not be confused with hand sanitizers. MyClyns is designed to be used in the field as post-exposure protection when a potential harmful exposure has occurred. MyClyns has the benefits of being non-flammable, non-aerosol, and alcohol free.
